- Career Analysis: Resume content, skills, and experience to identify career pivot opportunities
- AI Career Coach: Your conversation messages, resume, career goals, and selected target role to provide personalized guidance
- Interview Preparation: Resume data and target role to generate tailored interview questions
- Resume Optimization: Resume content to suggest improvements and enhance for specific roles
- Cover Letter Generation: Resume, target role, and company information to draft cover letters
- Recruiter Email Generation: Resume and target role to create outreach templates
- Salary Analysis: Resume, experience level, skills, and optionally your provided salary to estimate market value and growth potential
- Learning Courses: Your target role and skill gaps to generate personalized course content
- Negotiation Analysis: Job offer details and market data to provide negotiation strategies
- Web Portfolio Generation: Resume and career highlights to create portfolio content
3.2 What Data is Sent to OpenAI
- Job titles, company names, and dates from your work history
- Project descriptions, achievements, and highlights
- Skills, certifications, and education listed on your resume

- Target roles, industries, and career aspirations you've specified

- Salary information (only if you provide it and use salary-related features)
3.3 Data Retention and Training
Important: Data sent to OpenAI's API is not used to train their models per OpenAI's API data usage policies.
- Data is only sent when you actively use AI-powered features
- Each API call is processed independently and not retained by OpenAI for training
- Your data is stored in our database but only transmitted to OpenAI when generating new content
- AI Career Coach conversation history is stored to maintain context across sessions
3.4 Salary Projections and Estimates
Our salary analysis features generate estimates based on:
- Your provided salary (if shared) or estimated salary based on resume analysis
- Industry benchmarks and market data
- Your skills, experience level, and target roles
- AI-generated projections of earning potential
Note: Salary estimates and 5-year projections are for informational purposes only and should not be considered guarantees of actual earnings.
3.5 Your Control
You maintain full control over your data:
- Providing salary information is optional—you can skip it
- You can delete your resume and career data at any time
- You can start new AI Career Coach conversations to reset context
- You can choose not to use specific AI features
- If you don't upload a resume, features will use generic templates instead

4. Public Web Portfolio
Job Pivotry offers an optional feature to create and publish a public web portfolio showcasing your professional background.
4.1 What is Made Public
If you choose to publish a web portfolio, the following may be visible to anyone with the link:

- Skills and areas of expertise
- Project descriptions
- Profile photo (if uploaded)
- Contact information you choose to include

- Publishing a portfolio is entirely optional
- You can unpublish your portfolio at any time

- Portfolio URLs use a unique handle—they are not indexed by search engines by default
